Here are the pros and cons:Pros- great detail, nice weapons, and good paint apps. cons- hard to transform, bad instructions, and swords get in the way when transforming. Overall a great figure and a must buy! 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful good, but a few minor issues, By Will and/or Caroline C. (hampton, SC) - See all my reviews = Durability: = Fun: = Educational: This review is from: Transformers Voyager - Battle Blades Optimus Prime (Toy) Bought this guy the other day and overall I'm pretty happy with it but there are a few things that could have been done a lot better.* the blades are poorly mounted... they swivel open & closed which is nice until you realize they conflict with the blue plate on the bicep when trying to move the arm when closed. Would have been better if they clipped on or something. But I guess it being called Battle Blade Optimus it's meant to be more important than anything else or something. Frankly after checking out the way they did the blades on the Payload (also from the same line and also a Voyager class figure) I'm kind of annoyed with the lame job they did on these. Personally I just popped the blades off of mine. Thankfully they will slide on & off of the pegs with very little effort. * The forearm pieces slide up & down to expose the hand, but when slid back they can often conflict with the same bicep piece. Not necessary to slide them back to use blades or hold... I was however surprised. After changing him back to vehicle, I was stunned by his size - he is only a little larger than some of the more recent Generations deluxes! I was blown away by the amount of detail that they could cram into a figure this size. Obviously some of the paint apps that were found on the Leader Class (the flames on the roof, the articulation of the leg panels, etc.) were lacking, but this is a Voyager Class we are talking about. One of the nicest features (a nice homage to the 80's Prime) was the inclusion of a pop-out Matrix of Leadership in his chest. The other distinguishing feature of this figure was the pair of gas tanks that turn into guns, giving him his dual cannons in the ROTF factory scene. Granted, he is not without his flaws - but he is still a great figure. Note: he is SMALL. If you were expecting something close to the leader, you will be disappointed. However he is essentially a...
