He does however suffer from a couple flaws in my opinion but, nobody's perfect right? The sculpt is 95% screen accurate. Very sturdy figure. Plastic is solid. One of the best features, coming from a proud father of three, is the exaust stacks and sword are made out of rubbery plastic. As an adult collector, I would normally vote solid plastic, but for the kids, rubbery plastic is better. It just makes it a much safer toy for the little ones.Transformation from robot to vehical and back is relatively simple. The leg transformation is exactly the same as the deluxe class Optimus but more detailed. The trickiest part is the chest piece. Once you learn it, it's smooth sailing. The design is almost perfect, pretty accurate considering that it is a Voyager figure. The HASBRO version has a good plastic, it is not a cheap one. Two of the best parts of this figure are, the show accurate blaster and the sword. Only the First Edition version has these accessories, the regular RID version does not have them.I recommend this figure over the regular RID Optimus Prime in 100%. Since the First Edition line was canceled, a pretty good price is around 100 US$ because the figure was sold in only one country of the world and there are pretty few pieces out there for all the fans in the world. This amazing design totally worth the price and keep in mind that the price is going up and up with every day. |
