Unfortunately, this was a total washout. The range seems to be about 15 feet (after that static overwhelms intelligibility), and limited to line-of-sight--even going slightly around a corner makes the message cut out. A complete waste; couldn't be more of a rip-off. I thought the Transformer folks would care at least a little about protecting the integrity of their brand, but I guess not.
