I've also had Transformers toys as a child and enjoyed them a great deal. Now we have KRE-O Transformers and frankly, this is a neat combination of the two. Although KRE-O is not LEGO, they can be used with them. The KRE-O pieces on my figure seem to lock together a little bit tighter than with LEGOs but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. To help separate the bricks, LEGO has a brick separator that you can buy at their sight that will help tear your KRE-Os and LEGOs apart.The Good: 1. The toy is nicely packaged and is in plastic bags inside the box like LEGOs are. 2. The Instructions are well done and for the most part, easy to understand. LEGO boxes show actual photos of the product. Also the included KREONS (figures) are shown clearly both the front and back. The box does clearly state that the kit is a "2in1" build which means that even though it is a Transformer it does not unfortunately transform. The box, which can serve as a storage container, does have a cardboard carrying handle. Neither the handle nor the box, however, seem like they can take much abuse. A little hesitant as my experience with "compatible" bricks has been mostly negative (i.e. megablocks). I've basically got two things to say about this set:1) The bricks themselves are great - no complaints there. 2) The set was missing one piece. This has never happened to me with a Lego set. I understand that it may just be a fluke. So, I've printed the form from Hasbro's site to request a replacement piece... I'll see how the customer service experience goes, and will update this review accordingly. Overall, the quality of the bricks is the most important thing to me when it comes to these sets, and Hasbro seems to be the first company other than Lego to get it right. After we get the set built, we will break it down and mix it in with the Lego bin - probably the greatest compliment we could give non-Lego bricks!
